Hello Flower Lovers!

I’m Deanna Critchelow Hudspeth, owner of DC Blooms!

I was born & raised in Kentucky. We love our basketball, horses, bourbon & Jesus Christ. I grew up on a huge burley tobacco farm, my dad is the sixth generation to live & grow our beautiful land. The first flower I fell in love with was the pretty pink one that grows out of the tops of tobacco plants.

 I went off to college with an open mind and free spirit, then quickly realized that I needed a job. I started washing buckets & delivering flowers at a local florist during my days at Western Kentucky University. It amazed me how happy & special flowers could make people feel. From the time a baby is born to birthdays & anniversaries, flowers are always appropriate.

Weddings quickly became my passion as my path lead me to Lexington, Kentucky. There is just something about making a wedding day perfect for each couple. I love getting to know each bride & seeing the excitement in their eyes on their big day. They’re about to marry the man of their dreams & I enjoy being a small part of that. We relocated to Louisville in 2019.

God has given me the talent to arrange beautiful things for other people so that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
